Focus and Scope

Al-Tatawur is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the scholarly exploration of contemporary and significant issues in Islamic Studies, interdisciplinary sciences, and applied knowledge. The journal aims to provide a platform for rigorous theoretical, empirical, and critical studies that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in both classical and modern scholarship.

The journal welcomes original research articles, conceptual papers, and critical reviews covering, but not limited to, the following areas:

Islamic and Social Sciences

  • Islamic Studies, including Hadith Studies, Tafsir (Qur’anic Exegesis), Islamic Law (Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh), Islamic Philosophy, and Islamic Theology (Aqidah)

  • Sharia and Islamic Economics, including Islamic finance, Islamic economic systems, and socio-economic issues in Muslim societies

  • Economics and Social Sciences, particularly studies integrating ethical, cultural, and religious perspectives

  • Law and Legal Studies, especially Islamic law, comparative law, and legal reform

  • Education, including Islamic education, curriculum studies, and educational philosophy

Language, Culture, and Humanities

  • Arabic Language and Literature, both classical and contemporary

  • Persian (Farsi) and Pashto Literature, including linguistic, literary, and cultural studies

Computer Science, Technology, and Health

  • Computer Science and Information Technology, including information systems, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, and digital transformation

  • Technology Studies, such as educational technology, financial technology (FinTech), health technology, and technology innovation in social and religious contexts

  • Health and Medical Studies, particularly interdisciplinary research linking health, ethics, technology, public health, and socio-cultural or religious perspectives

Al-Tatawur serves as an intellectual forum for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to engage in critical dialogue, interdisciplinary collaboration, and knowledge dissemination across emerging and evolving domains of scholarship, science, and education.

The journal accepts manuscripts written in English and Arabic and is published quarterly, with issues released in March, June, September, and December.
